Case of successful pregnancy in first embryo transfer cycle at Sunflower Infertility and IVF Center in a patient with 6 recurrent pregnancy losses.

A 30-year-old woman, married for nine years, came to us with a history of secondary infertility and six recurrent pregnancy losses. She was diagnosed with PCOD, while her husband had severe oligoasthenoteratozoospermia. Despite her blood tests and ultrasound revealing a thin endometrium and an adenomyotic uterus, her ovaries were normal.
Her blood work showed positive ANA, indicating an autoimmune component, while her husband’s blood tests were normal. Under the guidance of an immunologist, we prescribed heparin, wysolone, and HCQs to manage her condition.
After many challenges and heartbreaks, the couple was overjoyed to achieve a successful pregnancy. She delivered a healthy baby boy at term.
At Sunflower Infertility and IVF Center, we are honored to have played a part in their journey to parenthood and to have helped them realize their dream of a family.
